From collection: USNM | | | Notes: r.f. Salix longifolia. Although Clemens indicated the number of specimens examined and the depository (e.g., Coll. Ent. Soc. Philadelphia) for most species described in this work, he did not do so for this or the following species, H. salicicolana. Darlington (1947) designated a lectotype for this species (Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia), but Miller (1973) indicated that it cannot be determined whether the specimen was actually a member of the original series. | |
