M. Gilligan Syntype From collection: USNM Notes: Both specimens are labeled cotype. Freeman (1958) correctly indicated that the type is in the USNM, listing Peaks Island as the type locality. This could be interpreted as his designation of the Maine specimen as the lectoype.
